Community Service

Metropolitan believes that to whom much is given, much is required.  Our mission in Jack and Jill is to nurture future African-American leaders by strengthening children through leadership development, volunteer service, philanthropic giving and civic duty.

To that end, our children have participated in campaigns to feed the homeless, making meals and delivering them to men and women sleeping on the streets of NYC. The boys and girls provided gifts from wish lists to seniors and to children who are living in poverty. Our children have cleaned and helped to beautify parks and they have sent care packages to service men and women serving in Afghanistan. Enthusiastically, our kids have walked and run miles to raise money for various causes. These are just a small sample of the many projects which they have completed. Our families are engaged in various projects throughout the year to give back to our community.

Bethel Gospel Assembly

Each year Metropolitan joins Bethel in serving the community.  Specifically, Metropolitan has been an active participant in bringing both holiday cheer, and sweat equity to those in need.  Metropolitan children have made sandwiches, prepped the kitchen, set up a clothing drive and prepared the Thanksgiving dining room for the Harlem community.  Please view a few pictures of from our time of service.
