President's Message

WELCOME to the Metropolitan Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated

On behalf of the Mighty Metropolitan Chapter, I thank you for visiting our website.

The Metropolitan Chapter, located in Manhattan, was formed in 1939 and is the second chapter recognized by Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated.

The chapter was established 80 years ago by women who were motivated and committed to strengthening our community by nurturing leadership and excellence in our children.  Today, we are over 100 mothers dedicated to our mission and passionate about our children.  Our mothers work hard yet remain committed to providing our children with tools for success through dynamic programming, meaningful community service, and strategic philanthropic giving.   Our legacy is strong!

In my 15 years as a member of Jack and Jill, one of my proudest moments was serving as the co-chair of the Annual teen dance also known as the COPA.   I am proud and humbled to have been chosen to lead this distinguished group of phenomenal women who are the Mighty Metropolitan Chapter.  I am confident that our great legacy will continue!

With Jack and Jill love,

Shewonia R Bowman
